Food expo
The World Food and Agricultural Expo (Shenzhen) 2024 will kick off this Saturday, featuring a wide array of snacks, meats, frozen foods, coffee, liquor, and more. Attendees can also look forward to an exciting cooking competition and a coffee culture festival taking place on-site.

German film festival
A German film festival is being held at Broadway Cinematheque. This weekend, “The Intangible Joy of Love” and “Not a Word” will be screened.

‘Rite of Spring’
Chinese dance legend and renowned choreographer Yang Liping will bring her stunning reimagining of Stravinsky’s “Rite of Spring” to Shenzhen Grand Theater. Stravinsky’s scenario and score may have been choreographed for countless times and in countless different ways, but an interpretation by a Chinese artist is rarely seen.

‘Hamlet’
One of the best tragedies by William Shakespeare, “Hamlet,” with its complex characters and rich artistic techniques, represents the highest achievement of Western Renaissance literature. Founded in 1980, TNT Theater from the U.K. is the world’s most touring English-language theater company, with thousands of performances staged in more than 20 countries around the world for its Shakespeare series.

‘Language of Color’

Painting master exhibition
An exhibition featuring the paintings of master Li Keran (1907-1989) is showcasing his prominent achievement in the 20th-century Chinese art. Although trained in Western oil painting, Li was known for his traditional literati paintings with influences from Qi Baishi and Huang Binhong.

Works by Max Richter
Members of the New World Chamber Players will bring a night of pieces by renowned pianist Max Richter at“The Four Seasons Recomposed” concert. Founded in Cincinnati, the U.S. in 2017, the New World Chamber Players brings together young musicians from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
