For the past three months, members of the Macaque Protection Volunteer Team from Taoyuan Subdistrict in Nanshan have dedicated their weekends and holidays to educating visitors about the importance of protecting these wild animals at the park. They advise against feeding or provoking the macaques, emphasizing the need to minimize human interference in their natural habitat to support their survival and reproduction. According to the park, it has about 20 wild macaques, and over the past two years, incidents of macaques attacking people have increased with the rise in the number of people feeding them.
