O-Net Technologies, a provider of optical communication solutions, urgently needed to hire hundreds of workers to meet rising demand. In response, authorities collaborated with technical schools in Guangdong Province and used social media to quickly recruit over 370 workers within a week.
Pang, the company’s HR director, said, “Thanks to proactive government support, what was originally a two-month recruitment plan was successfully accomplished within a week.”
The district is committed to facilitating efficient job placements and supporting the local workforce. Recently, a new energy equipment company in Pingshan had to end contracts with 110 workers due to production adjustments. District authorities quickly connected these workers with local job fairs and job centers, successfully placing them in new jobs after three days.
To streamline recruitment, the Pingshan government coordinated with subdistricts to establish job centers in all 24 of the district’s communities this year, providing a local talent pool for companies. Additional centers will be set up in residential areas and industrial parks.
To address seasonal labor shortages, Pingshan’s subdistricts have preemptively coordinated with neighboring areas, and job fairs have played a key role in attracting new talent.
