XDS partners with Astana Pro Team

XDS, a well-known Shenzhen-based bike brand in China, signed a strategic cooperation with the  Astana Pro Team to jointly build a world-class cycling team that will participate in world top level events such as Tour de France and other UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) events.

After the signing ceremony at Shenzhen Civic Center on Friday, Tan Yancong, CEO of XDS, said the cooperation marked a historic breakthrough for Chinese bicycle brands in their quest to go global. It not only provides Chinese cyclists with a pathway to top international events, but also enhances the influence of Chinese bicycle brands on the international stage. It is an important step to promote local brand's global presence and boost industrial development, and contribute to Shenzhen’s image.

Founded in 1995 in Guangming, Shenzhen, XDS is a leading player in the Chinese bicycle industry with five production bases worldwide. It ranks among top three bicycle manufacturers in the world, with products sold in over 50 countries and regions.

Astana is one of the only 18 teams globally that compete at the World Tour level, having won an Olympic gold medal, eight Grand Tours, 52 Grand Tour stage victories, 51 national championship titles, and 390 other race victories.

The XDS Astana Team serves as a bridge for Chinese cyclists to reach international top-tier events, helping them enhance their competitive level.

The Tour de France, which began in 1903, is held every summer for a duration of 23 days and is the oldest and most prestigious cycling competition in Europe, covering a total distance of 3,500 kilometers.
