500 cyclists compete in Guangming

Nearly 500 competitors vied for honors across professional, elite, and amateur categories. This year’s “XDS Cup” Tour of Shenzhen • Guangming urban circuit race featured 10 laps for professionals, five for elites, and three for amateurs. The professional category covered a grueling 105 kilometers, with each lap stretching 10.5 kilometers. Recognized as a C-level race by the International Cycling Union, this event made its debut in Shenzhen last year. The event’s co-organizer, XDS — Shenzhen Xidesheng Bicycles, headquartered in Guangming — is the world’s largest manufacturer of carbon-fiber bicycles, boasting an annual production capacity exceeding 5 million units.
