The Feng Shanshan Cup International Junior Golf Tournament came to a successful close at Mission Hills Dongguan on Friday.
Being a top-tier junior event sanctioned by the China Golf Association (CGA), this tournament stands as the highest-level junior competition under the CGA's purview.
With 139 participants, the tournament featured six categories categorized by age and gender. Dalian's Wang Haoyi secured victory in the boy’s Group A with a commanding 6-stroke lead over the runner-up, finishing 7 strokes under par.
Qingdao's Tang Rongze claimed the girl’s Group A title, sharing the winner's podium with her younger sister Tang Luo Qi, who triumphed in the girl’s Group B. The top three finishers in the boy's/girl's A groups now earn berths to compete in the 2025 Guangdong Tour season.
The B and C group competitions concluded with the crowning of four champions. Shanghai's Xu Chengrui emerged as the boy’s Group B champion, while Qingdao's Tang Luoqi secured victory in the girl’s Group B after a dramatic playoff. Chongqing's Jiao Zi staged a comeback to clinch the boy’s Group C title, while Qingdao's Wang Deng maintained her lead from day one to capture the girl's Group C championship with a two-stroke advantage.
Former world number one, Rio Olympics bronze medalist, and Grand Slam champion Feng Shanshan graced the tournament's opening ceremony and conducted the "Champion Training Camp."
The LPGA Tour legend offered on-site guidance to players on bunker shots and putting techniques, sharing valuable insights from her illustrious career with the budding golfers.
