City's electricity consumption data released

Shenzhen's electricity consumption, a key barometer of economic activity, rose 7.7% year on year in 2024, official data from the power supplier authority show. Power usage reached 121 billion kilowatt-hours last year. Power consumption by secondary and tertiary sectors rose by 8.8% and 4.9%, respectively.
