The recently opened Line 13 of the Shenzhen Metro has made waves with its innovative design that blends technology and art, creating a distinctive new artistic tunnel experience. Among the highlights is the Shenzhen University Station, renowned for its eye-catching “super vortex” architecture, which offers a futuristic aesthetic reminiscent of time travel.

The dynamic, flowing circular lines connect various areas within the station, while the interplay of light and shadow creates the illusion of moving star trails, evoking a sense of celestial wonder.

Another standout feature at the station is the uniquely designed escalator, which appears to transport passengers through a space-time tunnel adorned with orange hues. Stepping onto it provides a thrilling sensation, akin to embarking on a journey at the speed of light. This design element has quickly become a favorite photo spot for visitors eager to capture their experience.

The southern segment of Line 13, now operational, spans approximately 6.4 kilometers and includes seven stations. Once fully operational, the line promises to significantly reduce travel times, with a trip from Guangming to Nanshan potentially taking just 30 to 45 minutes.
