Until Feb. 18, citizens in Shenzhen can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere at the McDonald’s Guanghua restaurant, located on Dongmen Pedestrian Street, Luohu District, which has been transformed into a shadow puppetry-themed store.

This transformation is part of McDonald’s China’s latest “Wishing You a Golden Arches Year” Spring Festival campaign for the Year of the Snake, in collaboration with Shanghai Animation Film Studio.

On the third floor of the Guanghua store, a shadow puppet theater has been set up, complete with traditional shadow puppet props and fish lanterns. This creates an ideal spot for taking festive photos to celebrate the occasion.

Customers can also engage in a pinball interactive game for a chance to win special gifts after purchasing any item from McDonald’s New Year Series. Those fortunate enough to win a shadow puppetry materials pack can enjoy the art of shadow puppetry on the second floor of the Guanghua store.

Additionally, the McDonald’s at MixC Universiade World in Longgang District has unveiled its Year of the Snake-themed store, featuring the debut of the Ice Cream Snake and the Fries Snake, exclusively available at this unique location nationwide.

Ice Cream Snake and Fries Snake installations are prominently displayed at the top of the store to bring good wishes to visitors. Before Feb. 18, special promotional activities are also available, offering consumers the chance to receive limited edition of New Year-themed gifts from the McDonald’s.

Until Feb. 18, customers can collect theater tickets at the McDonald’s Shenzhen Guanghua (Luohu District), MixC Universiade World (Longgang District), and Xinsha (Bao’an District) restaurants. Each of these three locations has its own exclusive stamp, which can be obtained in-store. Once you’ve gathered four stamped theater tickets, you can redeem them for a Shenzhen-exclusive fridge magnet at any one of the three participating restaurants.

He Yabin, McDonald’s China’s chief growth officer, stated, “‘Wishing You a Golden Arches Year’ is not only our blessing to consumers but also a heartfelt New Year’s gift. We hope to bring more joy and blessings to the community through a variety of delicious offerings, limited-time activities, and festive merchandise.”
