Longhua introduces measures to propel semiconductor, IC industry

Longhua District has recently introduced Measures to Support the Development of the Semiconductor and Integrated Circuit Industry, aimed at accelerating the transformation of industrial innovations into new quality productivity. Under these measures, eligible enterprises can receive financial subsidies of up to 8 million yuan (US$1.095 million).  

The policies provide comprehensive support, covering foundational areas such as enterprise expansion, mergers and acquisitions, and industrial park construction and operation. They also prioritize key sectors including semiconductor and integrated circuit design, design tool development, and product testing and verification. Qualified enterprises can access subsidies ranging from 100,000 to 8 million yuan, with annual funding for individual policies capped at 20 million yuan, creating a robust policy framework to drive industry growth.  

As of now, Longhua District hosts 208 semiconductor and integrated circuit enterprises, contributing to a total output value of 31.327 billion yuan. Among them, three are industry leaders with an output value exceeding 1 billion yuan, seven are key enterprises with an output value surpassing 500 million yuan, 145 are national high-tech enterprises, 14 are national-level “little giant”specialized and sophisticated SMEs, and 65 are specialized and sophisticated SMEs.
