The Golf Joy Women's Open, accredited by the China Ladies Professional Golf Association (CLPGA), will kick off in March at Million Hills Dongguan.

This event, scheduled for March 10-15, is hosted by the China Golf Association, according to Mission Hills Group, one of the co-organizers. The tournament will feature three rounds of intense competition as professional golfers from diverse backgrounds converge at this top-tier venue to vie for the coveted championship title.

The event will not only test the skills of these players but also provide a platform for golf enthusiasts of all levels to engage with the professional female golfers on the Ladies Challenge Tour. Moreover, a golf roundtable forum during the tournament will offer valuable insights for industry development and an optimistic view of the future.

Designed by golf legend David Leadbetter, the Leadbetter Course at Mission Hills Dongguan is celebrated worldwide for its sprawling sand bunkers, dynamic fairways, challenging greens, and breathtaking panoramic views. This combination of natural elements and competitive layout creates an exceptional stage for golfers to showcase their prowess and resilience while offering spectators a sensory and visual delight.

The National Games, to be held in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) for the first time this year, have become a prominent topic recently, emphasizing the role of sports in city development and showcasing the vitality and charm of the GBA.

GBA cities are actively exploring new models such as "sports + tourism" and "research + tourism" to establish themselves as premier leisure destinations. Representatives from the sports and cultural sectors are dedicated to introducing events and developing sports tourism to enhance the region's appeal.

Mission Hills has been a beacon of integrated cultural and tourism development in the GBA, leveraging the area's dual circulation to bolster industry competitiveness. Through initiatives like "sports + culture and tourism," the group aims to enhance connectivity, foster cooperation, and achieve synchronized growth among Shenzhen, Dongguan, and Hong Kong.

By merging golf with mass tourism and comprehensive experiences, Mission Hills Group has significantly increased annual visitation, showcasing the success of models like tourism + events, tourism + research, tourism + education, and tourism + business.

The group's focus on soccer, basketball, golf, and tennis has successfully attracted a broad audience through sports events and cultural exchanges, establishing itself as a key player in sports and tourism development.
