This trip aligns with the Guangming District Government's strategic plan, which was outlined in this year’s work report. The report emphasizes the attraction of global investment and sets a goal of securing over 500 projects throughout the year through a series of promotional activities.

The team kicked off their journey at the Osaka International Medical Exhibition, Japan's largest comprehensive medical and nursing industry event, which featured 325 exhibitors from Japan, China, South Korea, and Poland. This event provided an ideal platform to explore markets and establish business connections.

Highlights of the trip included engagements with well-known pharmaceutical and medical device companies such as JM System Corporation and Daiichi Kogyo Seiyaku Co. Ltd. Through these interactions, the Guangming delegation gained insight into the latest industry trends and market dynamics.

Guangming District officials noted that accelerating the development of the life and health industry is a key priority for 2025. The district boasts numerous advantages, including access to large scientific facilities, supportive policies, a smooth conversion chain, and a rich pool of innovative talent, which are expected to enhance the clustering of high-end medical devices, biomedicine, synthetic biology, and brain sciences.

An important stop for the delegation was Waseda University, a globally recognized institution and leader in humanoid robotics research. The team met with Professor Wang Wei, a protégé of renowned roboticist Ichiro Kato, to discuss trends and collaborations in the humanoid robotics sector.

The delegation organizes an investment promotion meeting in Tokyo on March 7, aiming to attract potential investors.

On March 7, the delegation hosted an investment promotion meeting in Tokyo, where officials highlighted Guangming District's favorable business environment and robust innovation resources. Japanese companies were invited to deepen collaboration in artificial intelligence and green development.

Several Guangming-based enterprises, including TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co. Ltd. and SonoScape, signed agreements totaling approximately 5.737 billion yuan with foreign firms.

In the rapidly growing field of artificial intelligence, Shenzhen GJS Technology Co. Ltd. partnered with Asia Capital Holdings to develop robots. In the life and health sector, SonoScape, a leading manufacturer of ultrasound and endoscopic equipment, collaborated with Shoei Japan Co., Ltd., a medical equipment company.

Seven representatives from the sectors of high-performance materials, high-end medical devices, and artificial intelligence gave presentations during the meeting, aiming to enhance cooperative development within industry chains.

Their presentations focused on innovative thermally conductive materials and the fusion of robotics and AI technologies to synergize Chinese manufacturing with Japanese craftsmanship, thus invigorating Sino-Japanese economic and trade relations.

Last year, Guangming District achieved remarkable investment results by successfully implementing 221 projects, ranking it third citywide in investment attraction.
