Boluo Dan is a celebration of the birthday of the God of the South Sea. With over 1,000 years of history, it is one of Guangzhou’s most important traditional customs and the largest traditional temple fair in the Pearl River Delta. It was inscribed on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2011. The event, which will run through Friday, will feature folk cultural activities such as singing and dancing performances, traditional parades, intangible cultural heritage experience activities, bazaars, folk art workshops, and a folklore flashmob.
