Spring scenery: A time to rejoice

Shenzhen International Garden and Flower Expo Park is a famous site for viewing bougainvilleas, which are in full bloom from the middle of March to early April. The bougainvillea, the city flower of Shenzhen, is widely adored by Shenzhen residents due to its gorgeous color, natural beauty, and prolific distribution. The park is renowned for cascading pink and white bougainvillea flowers blooming every spring. Since earlier this month, crowds of residents and tourists have been visiting the park to capture the spectacular floral scenes. Visitors can take a 15-minute walk from Zhuzilin Metro Station (竹子林地铁站) to the park’s south gate or other farther gates, or take Bus T106 running between the park’s east gate and Exit B2 of the station. The bus operates daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until the end of the flowering period, with a fare of 2 yuan (US$0.28).
