At this year’s national two sessions, which marked the third session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) and the third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), a special “reporter” from Shenzhen Media Group captured widespread attention.

The “reporter” was KUAVO, a Harmony OS-supported humanoid robot developed by Longhua-based tech enterprise Leju Robot. From street interviews to in-depth, scenario-based coverage, KUAVO enhanced media efficiency while showcasing Shenzhen’s prowess in cutting-edge technology.
This year’s annual sessions of the country’s top legislature and top political advisory body were held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing from March 5 to 11 and from March 4 to 10, respectively.
KUAVO previously underwent a trial run as an assistant reporter during the annual sessions of the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Congress and the CPPCC Shenzhen Municipal Committee in February, according to the company. It also served as a video presenter in a multimedia column hosted by Shenzhen TV.
With its advanced natural language processing and generation capabilities, KUAVO not only conducted interviews with delegates but also provided data-driven insights to enrich news narratives.

Designed to jump, navigate complex terrain, and engage in real-time communication, KUAVO played an active role in the torch relay of the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, on Feb. 3. It also appeared at both the opening and awards ceremonies of the 34th Asian Cup Table Tennis Championships in Shenzhen from Feb. 19 to 23.
As a pioneer in humanoid robotics, Leju Robot focuses on the research, development, and application of humanoid robots across industrial, commercial, and educational sectors. The company has delivered more humanoid robots globally than any competitor, solidifying its position as an industry frontrunner.
In 2024, KUAVO was named one of the “Top 10 Innovative Humanoid Robot Products” by China Electronics News and other leading tech media.
In related news, a project by Leju Robot recently won second prize in the technological advancement category of the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award, the nation’s highest honor for outstanding contributions in the field of artificial intelligence.
