The visit focused on exploring potential collaborations in entertainment, commerce, and retail, aiming to foster stronger ties between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Southeast Asian business resources.

During their visit, the delegation toured key locations in Bao'an, including the Bao'an District Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, the OH Bay commercial area, Shenzhen Uniwalk Qianhai, the Qianhai Huafa Ice & Snow World, and the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center area.

Hayapong Naviroj, executive director of ICONSIAM and CEO of the Sooksiam Project, expressed his enthusiasm for the visit: "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to visit Shenzhen's Bao'an District. The city is vibrant and technologically advanced, which has left a deep impression on us. Shenzhen is not far from Thailand and is a rapidly growing city with a young population, rapid technological development, and well-planned urban infrastructure. As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China, we look forward to engaging in cultural exchanges and exploring development opportunities in China's food retail and entertainment sectors."

Recently, Shenzhen released a 2025-2035 plan to establish five world-class commercial districts over the next 10 years, including the Airport-Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center area and the Qianhai Bao’an CBD area.

Bao'an District is poised for significant growth over the next five years, with plans to release over 1 million square meters of prime commercial and residential land. The district is also implementing policies to support businesses in developing landmark buildings with coastal-themed designs.
