

SZ rescuers save woman trapped for 60 hours in Myanmar quake

The team of Shenzhen rescuers found and rescued a female survivor who had been trapped for nearly 60 hours early yesterday morning. The survivor had strong vital signs upon rescue. This was the first rescue of a survivor by the China Search and Rescue Team after their arrival in the heavily affected city late Sunday. A 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck the Southeast Asian nation Friday. As of Sunday, the death toll had climbed to 1,700, with over 3,400 injured and 300 still missing. Currently, several Chinese rescue teams, including 23 rescuers from Shenzhen, are tirelessly working to save lives in Myanmar.
