I still vividly remember arriving in China on January 6, 2001, as a young electronics engineer, eager to explore new opportunities.

Before coming to China, I had completed my master’s degree in electronics engineering in Romania and worked for an international company in Poland. However, after a year there, I realized that the real growth prospects were not in Europe but in China.

When a Chinese electronics firm based in Dongguan offered me a job, I decided to take the leap despite the personal challenge of leaving my pregnant, newlywed wife behind in Europe.

Crossing from Hong Kong international airport into Shenzhen was the beginning of a journey that has lasted over two decades.
