An LED mesh flying screen developed by a Shenzhen-based company has broken a Guinness World Record to become the largest LED mesh flying screen in the world.
With a display area of 72.66 square meters, the screen was independently developed by Longgang District-based Shenzhen Filmbase New Materials Co., a global leader in smart film and display glass tech.
Lifted into the sky by drones Monday night, the screen displayed images of airplanes taking off, rockets ascending, and astronauts floating, creating stunning visual effects.
According to the company, the 5-meter-wide and 15-meter-high screen features between 150,000 and 300,000 pixels, with a clarity dozens of times higher than that of traditional building-based light shows and drone light shows.
Representatives of Shenzhen Filmbase New Materials Co. receive the Guinness World Records certificate for the largest LED mesh flying screen during Monday’s ceremony in Longgang District.
Boasting 95% transparency, the screen ensures vivid, detailed imagery that blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Weighing only 250 grams per square meter, the screen can remain steadily suspended in winds of up to level 3. It also uses wind for natural cooling, thereby eliminating the need for additional cooling equipment, saving energy, and reducing noise pollution.
The screen offers new display methods for aerial advertising, brand promotion, event marketing, and cultural light shows, according to Yuan Lanlan, general manager of the company. She added that the company had received numerious domestic and international orders for the product, which will soon make its debut in Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, and Dubai.
