The airport was named Best Airport in the 60–70 million passenger throughput category, Best Airport in China, and Best Airport Staff in China. It marks the first time Shenzhen International Airport has received these honors since surpassing 60 million annual passengers.
The Shenzhen Airport Hyatt Hotel was also recognized, winning China’s Best Airport Hotel for the fifth consecutive year. The hotel also claimed the titles of 2025 World’s Best Airport Hotel and 2025 Asia’s Best Airport Hotel.

In 2024, the Shenzhen airport introduced several enhancements to improve the passenger experience. These included One-ID (QR code) access, facial recognition boarding, and satellite terminal gate food delivery services.
The airport also expanded its use of AI-powered solutions, deploying coffee-making robots, AI translation services, and autonomous parking. To accommodate rising demand for premium air travel, renovations were made to the T3 West Wing, increasing annual international passenger capacity by 10 million.

The airport’s ground transportation services ranked first among 41 airports evaluated in the 2024 CAPSE Passenger Service Report, a historic achievement for the facility. CAPSE is an independent third-party agency that evaluates airport service quality.
In the cab-hailing zone, the airport introduced color navigation lanes — blue, green, and orange — to optimize traffic flow, improving efficiency by 40%. The system won gold at the CAPSE Service Quality Innovation Awards and was praised by the chairman of SKYTRAX as a “global best practice standard for ride-hailing services.”

For long-distance connectivity, the airport leveraged the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link to launch terminals in Zhongshan and Jiangmen. Dedicated waiting areas were also set up in the arrival hall to serve passengers taking express shuttles to Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Nansha, and Zhuhai.
