

Cézanne, Renoir reunite in HK

The Hong Kong Museum of Art is showcasing a collection of 52 masterpieces by Paul Cézanne and Pierre-Auguste Renoir on loan from France’s Musée d’Orsay and Musée de l’Orangerie.
These two pioneers of French Impressionism forged a lasting friendship in 1860s Paris marked by mutual admiration and unwavering support throughout their careers.
Featuring themes such as still life, landscapes, portraits, and more, the exhibition, running until May 7, invites visitors to explore a captivating dialogue between their distinctive artistic styles and their unique perspectives on the modern world.
Additionally, two Hong Kong artists are exhibiting works on-site that are inspired by these French masters, offering a contemporary interpretation of their legacy.
