The city will resume reservation-based access to its eastern scenic areas from May 1 through Oct. 8. Temporary traffic control measures will be enforced on weekends and public holidays throughout this period.
In Yantian’s Meisha area, traffic control will be imposed on roads between the intersection of Yanmei Road and Yansan Road in the east and the Shenzhen Customs Xiaomeisha Education and Training Base on Yanmei Road in the west, and all roads within the OCT East theme park area. Vehicles traveling on the main line of the Huishen (Huizhou-Shenzhen) Coastal Expressway are not subject to the reservation policy.
On the Dapeng Peninsula, all roads south and including the Diefushan Tunnel in Dapeng New Area are subject to traffic controls.
Passenger vehicles with nine seats or fewer are permitted to enter and travel within these controlled areas only after successfully making reservations on the WeChat official account of Shenzhen Traffic Police, and only during their reserved time slots. Once entering the controlled areas, vehicles are free to exit at any time. Unauthorized entry or travel without reservation will be penalized.
Registered vehicles, buses, taxis and ride-hailing vehicles, freight vehicles, emergency service vehicles such as police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, engineering rescue vehicles, passenger vehicles with 10 seat or more traveling along Huizhen Coastal Expressway to Huizhou and other destinations without exiting the highway within the two above-mentioned areas are exempted from the reservation policy.
