Here are some notable spots where you and your pet can spend quality time together.
Ninggang Road East Pocket Park
Recently opened and somewhat hidden, the Ninggang Road East Pocket Park is still a well-kept secret among pet owners, especially those living outside of Luohu District. This community park features an open green space specifically designated for pets, allowing dogs to run around freely without the risk of confrontations with other animals. The park is equipped with essential amenities, such as areas for pet activities, obstacle courses, waste disposal boxes, a drinking water fountain, and pet shower facilities. The ground is paved with non-slip materials, making it a safe environment for pets to play.

Donghu East Community Park
While not particularly large, the Donghu East Community Park makes a lovely spot for walking dogs. Its pet activity area is surrounded by a vibrant rainbow-colored fence with thoughtful double-layer one-way gates, allowing dogs to come in and play, while minimizing the risk of them accidentally running out and getting lost. In addition to pet play equipment, the park also offers cozy resting areas for pet owners, making it a pleasant retreat for both pets and their owners.

Located near the entrance of the Taojin Hill Greenway, Cuihu Culture and Sport Park is one of the earliest public spaces to feature a pet-exclusive playground in Shenzhen. Upon entering the park, visitors will find the pet garden, which feature mini pet houses, obstacle courses and other facilities. There is a pet shop on-site selling essential supplies. The expansive lawn provides plenty of space for dogs to run around. But it’s advisable to keep your pets leashed, especially on busy weekends when the park attracts many visitors.

MixC Food Court
Pet-friendliness is embedded in the design of the MixC Food Court mall in Luohu. The entrance features bright paw print signage, sending a friendly signal right from the start. Upon entering, pet owners can rent a pet stroller for free at the first-floor service center, and staff thoughtfully provide a new pet pad for their furry passengers. Most businesses in the mall allow pets, and some stores even offer customized pet meals.
On the third floor, there is the about 200-square-meter “Pet Paradise,” surrounded by low pet climbing frames. It features a specially designed automatic water dispenser with adjustable-height stainless steel bowls, while a smart waste collection box placed behind the green wall provides biodegradable bags.
The pet service station on the B2 level is accessible via a pet-exclusive elevator, and is equipped with self-service grooming rooms. The temporary pet storage area outside the restroom is equipped with monitoring, allowing owners to check in on their pets through a mobile app.
