Spanning more than 2,300 square meters, the upgraded location features a newly designated area for men’s footwear and accessories, part of a broader effort by parent company Inditex to reshape its global retail strategy.

The new store showcases Zara’s latest global concept, which emphasizes larger-scale formats enhanced by innovative technology. The design reflects the brand’s commitment to creating a streamlined, customer-centric shopping experience within a spacious, sustainable environment.

The single-floor store includes departments for women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing, along with a dedicated zone for shoes and bags. A clean, minimalist interior design — centered around neutral tones, white walls, and natural materials — creates a warm yet modern backdrop for the brand’s diverse product range.

Tech integration for seamless shopping

One of the standout features of the Uniwalk location is its integration of digital services. The store debuts an intelligent fitting room system that automatically tracks the number of items brought in and monitors availability, offering customers a smoother, faster experience. A self-service checkout area further streamlines the shopping process.

Through the Zara app, customers can reserve fitting rooms in advance, locate items in-store, place orders online and pick them up within two hours, and check product availability in real time.

Sustainability at forefront

In line with Inditex’s environmental goals, the Shenzhen store is outfitted with energy-efficient technologies, including advanced heating and cooling systems and LED lighting. It is also connected to Inditex’s internal energy platform, which monitors and manages energy use to improve overall efficiency.

The store also supports circular fashion initiatives. A clothing recycling bin is available for customers to drop off used garments, which will be repurposed or recycled. All packaging materials, including cardboard and plastic, are collected and processed for reuse.

Part of global vision

Zara is one of several brands under the Inditex Group, a global leader in fashion retail that also owns Massimo Dutti, Zara Home, and others. Operating in over 200 markets, Inditex is aiming to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040, with initiatives like the Uniwalk store playing a key role in that mission.

The store features some styling display areas where customers can get outfit inspiration.
