On April 25, the 33rd China (Shenzhen) International Gifts and Home Products Fair kicked off at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center. The four-day event gathered 4,500 top-tier global exhibitors and attracted a broad range of professional buyers, including gift companies, channel distributors, retail chain purchasers, e-commerce buyers, and community leaders.

A highlight of the fair was “AI Empowering Gifts: Revitalizing the Entire Industry Ecosystem,” a high-end innovation development forum co-organized by RX Huabo Exhibitions (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd. and Shenzhen Special Zone Daily.

The forum featured distinguished brand leaders who shared insights on how AI is revolutionizing the gift industry by renewing market scenarios and distribution channels, thereby injecting fresh vitality into the sector.

Chen Li, vice president of RX Huabo Exhibitions (Shenzhen), emphasized the rapid transformation brought by AI technology across the gift industry, spanning from IP derivatives and city-themed cultural gifts to intelligent manufacturing and the redefinition of consumer experiences.

Yan Shenggang, a Shenzhen-based souvenir consultant and director of the Urban Gifts Cultural & Tourism Empowerment Center, analyzed breakthrough strategies in the urban gifts market through the successful “Money-Making Cat” case.

He highlighted how the rise of the “guochao” national trend is driving the “city tide,” noting that urban gifts have evolved into vital carriers for city branding and possess vast potential for deeper exploration of regional cultural value.

Li Liang, brand manager at Yizhihui Fashion Group, advocated for shifting heritage preservation from mere “craft memory” to a “craft economy,” utilizing AI tools to build cultural asset libraries that seamlessly merge traditional craftsmanship with contemporary consumption trends.
