The Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Commerce has recently announced a suite of 10 targeted measures aimed at providing robust financial support to local enterprises, helping them stabilize orders and accelerate expansion in the domestic market.

Among the key initiatives, Shenzhen encourages eligible companies to take part in the national consumer goods trade-in subsidy program. Under this scheme, individual consumers purchasing home appliances and digital products are eligible for subsidies of up to 2,000 yuan based on the sales price, thereby stimulating consumer demand and helping enterprises broaden their domestic sales channels.

In a bid to mitigate transaction risks for businesses venturing into broader domestic markets, the city will offer a 25% subsidy on actual premiums paid by enterprises that purchase domestic trade credit insurance, with a cap of 500,000 yuan in annual subsidies per enterprise.

Shenzhen also supports the organization of a series of consumption promotion events by businesses and industry associations, combining commerce with cultural, tourism, sports, and exhibition elements. Key projects included in the city-level flagship event, the “Shenzhen Shopping Season,” will receive government subsidies covering up to 50% of their actual investment, with a maximum support limit of 2 million yuan.

Recognizing the importance of digital transformation, Shenzhen is providing subsidies of up to 3 million yuan to trade enterprises for their investment in digitalization of consumption scenarios. This financial aid covers 20% of the actual expenditure, encouraging companies to modernize their operations and enhance consumer experiences.
