Russian critics and audiences alike praised the production for its artistry, storytelling, and the skill of the performers.
“I am shocked by what I saw! The performance is great! Everything in it is perfect. The artists work surprisingly well-coordinated. They are real masters,” said Konstantin Matveev, artistic director of the renowned Boris Eifman Dance Academy.
“It strikes me that this performance further confirms that movement, dance, and the language of physical expression are universal and comprehensible to people everywhere on the planet,” Anna Konstantinova, a drama critic, said.

According to a local theatergoer named Alisa, she was captivated by the dance drama’s amazing choreography. “At first I felt a bit awkward to applaud, because I didn’t want to interrupt the magic of everything that was going on.”
The tour aimed to strengthen cultural ties between China and Russia and promote mutual understanding and appreciation for each other’s arts and traditions, as the years 2024 and 2025 mark the Years of Culture between the two nations.
“I think such performances are very important now. These performances help establish a bridge of mutual understanding between cultures,” said Anna Belich, a Russian choreographer.
