Daniel Houston Miller, a photography enthusiast from the U.S. living in Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, is an admirer of Chinese culture. While visiting the ICIF, he said that he was thoroughly impressed by the Luohu Pavilion in Hall 12 of the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center.

Upon entering, Miller was immediately drawn to a pair of smart glasses at the Doctor Glasses booth. He tried on the AI-powered glasses, which offer features such as real-time translation, navigation, and music playback.

“That was really impressive. The ability to translate quickly in real time is groundbreaking. For a foreigner living in China like me, being able to instantly and seamlessly translate everything allows me to have advanced conversations with anyone. No one has had that ability before unless they could afford a personal interpreter, so it’s really incredible,” Miller said.

The nearby Neewer booth also caught his attention. Miller, a fan of the brand’s photography and video lighting equipment, couldn’t stop admiring their products, particularly a photography light known for excellent heat dissipation.

“I am a big fan of their products, but I didn’t realize they were a Luohu-based company. Now I learned that Luohu has a lot of great companies,” Miller said.

Also featured in the Luohu Pavilion was Sanbot, a robotics company showcasing several robots with unique functions. Miller eagerly photographed their demonstrations.

After completing his tour of the Luohu exhibition, Miller told Shenzhen Daily, “The Luohu exhibit gave visitors an insightful look into the district’s overall landscape. It definitely makes me want to visit the area in person, take a walk around, and see it for myself.”

The ICIF runs from Thursday to Monday.
