Our visit began meeting staff from a local animation studio, who showcased their latest film project“Growing Up with Tiantian”. The movie tells the story of a family moving to the Chinese rural areas, from a young girl’s point of view. This heartwarming first encounter was followed by meeting a charming assistant dog robot, whose lifelike movements and responsive interactions demonstrated the district's advances in service robotics.
The instant-translation glasses station was particularly busy, with visitors marveling at how seamlessly the device converted spoken Mandarin into multiple languages on the spot. We watched as a high-tech motor systems engineer demonstrated precision robotic components that could revolutionize manufacturing processes.
Amidst all the technological wonders, we paused to enjoy one of Luohu's simplest pleasures - its legendary milk tea. The booth's tea station served perfectly brewed cups using a blend of traditional techniques and modern equipment, a delightful example of how Luohu honors its culinary heritage while embracing progress.
Our group was also witness to the official presentation of AI diagnostic robots, which drew fascinated crowds. These compact devices could perform everything from posture analysis to stress level measurements, representing Luohu's growing reputation as a health technology hub.
As we concluded our visit, we reflected on how the district’s exhibit perfectly captured Shenzhen's spirit of innovation. From the creative energy of its animation studios to the practical applications of its robotics, and even in its approach to something as simple as milk tea, Luohu demonstrated how technology can enhance every aspect of life while staying rooted in culture and tradition.
Leaving the Luohu pavilion, I felt a deeper appreciation for Shenzhen’s cultural diversity. The exhibit was more than just a showcase. The experience left us energized by this clear vision of the future - one where technology serves humanity, creativity flourishes, and even a cup of tea becomes part of the innovation story.
