Last summer, Pingshan District unveiled the Changshou Dramaville, a vibrant cultural hub transformed from an old Hakka village. It has attracted numerous cultural enthusiasts and tourists from around the world. Recently, the south zone of the new Pingshan Science, Technology and Culture Center, featuring distinctive architecture, also opened its doors. From ancient houses to futuristic venues, Pingshan’s architecture tells a captivating story of tradition, innovation, and global vision.
Here is a recommended one-day itinerary to explore some of these remarkable sites:
Pingshan Science, Technology and Culture Center 坪山科技文化中心
The Pingshan Science, Technology and Culture Center is divided into south and north zones, connected by a circular outdoor stage designed for impromptu performances and creative markets. This space also offers direct access to the tranquil Guangzu Park.
The Pingshan Cultural House, which moved to the center’s south zone in late March, features distinctive wooden arched roofs and houses a 500-seat theater, rehearsal rooms, art rooms, and a rooftop stage. The north zone will host a science and technology museum and a bookstore upon completion.
