Shenzhen’s first immersive time-travel museum themed around McDonald’s has opened its door in A Park in Meilin, Futian District. “McMen” are invited to join on a nostalgic journey through McDonald’s history in the city, from the 1990s to 2025, and purchase an exclusive Museum combo meal on site.

The entire building of the museum looks like a giant Happy Meal box. The building has a six-floor bright yellow zigzag staircase featuring inflatables of McNuggets and time capsules on nearly every floor. As you approach, you’ll see Ronald McDonald sitting cross-legged at the stair entrance.
Five glittering characters — 麦麦博物馆 (the McMc Museum) — greet visitors on the third floor. Just beyond the glass “McDoor,” old photos of Shenzhen’s very first McDonald’s restaurant, also the first on the Chinese mainland, invite visitors down the memory lane.
Nearby, a limited-edition toy archaeological wall displays original milkshake cups, millennium Snoopy collaborations, and various nostalgic Happy Meal toys that captivate the eye. Every display case is filled with treasured memories.

The museum also recreates past McDonald’s celebrations, characterized by the orange birthday party sofas, burger stools, and BFF (“Best Friends Forever”) memorabilia.
The McMc Museum combo meal includes a medium Coke, medium fries, and two spicy chicken wings, plus a lottery ticket with guaranteed prizes.
Follow “Shenzhen Maimen Zhangmenren” and post with the hashtag on Xiaohongshu to receive a “Four Little Blessings” flash card; one card per user.
Please note that museum display products are not for sale.
Don’t rush off after the museum tour! Head downstairs and unwind at Shenzhen’s coolest factory-turned-park — A Park — just around the corner.
