Hong Kong returns to top 3 in global competitiveness

Hong Kong has climbed two spots to rank third in the latest World Competitiveness Yearbook, marking the city’s return to the top three for the first time since 2019. The report, published Tuesday by the Switzerland-based International Institute for Management Development, shows the city’s score jumped 7.7 points to 99.2 — the largest increase among the top 10. Hong Kong also ranked second globally in government efficiency.
