Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is just days away from launching its grand year-long celebration, the “20th Anniversary Most Magical Party,” starting June 28. From sunrise to the last sparkle at night, brand-new magical experiences and surprises will immerse guests in unforgettable Disney joy.
Leading up to the big day, beloved Disney friends have been spreading festive invitations across the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, and various Asian cities, igniting excitement and inviting guests to join the spectacular festivities at Hong Kong Disneyland.
Mickey Mouse takes party invitation across Asia
A 20th anniversary installation will arrive at Teemall in Guangzhou from July 5, where guests can snap pictures with Disney party characters beside the dazzling Castle of Magical Dreams setup.
The party magic continues to Shenzhen’s Talent Park on July 19, with Disney friends transformed into captivating light displays and drones illuminating the night sky to invite Greater Bay Area guests to celebrate the anniversary.
Celebrations are also designated in Wuhan in Hubei Province, Taipei, and the Philippines.
Celebrations throughout Hong Kong
The first stop in Hong Kong of the celebration party is the iconic Ngong Ping 360 cable cars on Lantau Island, where 11 crystal cabins are decked out with Disney characters and stories from the “Disney Friends Party Parade,” giving guests a unique aerial invitation experience. The nearby Ngong Ping Village also features 20th anniversary Disney friend installations, a must-visit photo spot.
A giant 3-meter-tall Mickey in new 20th anniversary party attire is greeting travelers at the Hong Kong International Airport Arrival Hall, ready for photos and interactive fun to welcome all visitors.
Themed MTR trains on key lines — including the Airport Express, Tsuen Wan, East Rail, and Disney Resort Line — will carry passengers on a magical journey. At Hong Kong Station, party atmosphere will begin in corridors and escalators before guests board the themed Disney train. Guests should listen for surprise broadcasts and enjoy heartwarming moments as they travel toward the park.
From this Friday, the vibrant streets of Causeway Bay will come alive with the party spirit, as Kimberley Street mall is transformed into a dazzling photo hotspot with appearances by Disney friends, perfect for capturing magical selfies.
In late July and early August, the newly opened Kai Tak Sports Park will join the celebration with augmented reality experiences featuring Mickey and stunning party-themed projection shows on the main venue’s exterior walls. Disney friends will make surprise visits, bringing extra magic to this city landmark.
Bringing party magic into daily life
Hong Kong Disneyland has partnered with various brands to extend the celebration beyond the park, offering exclusive anniversary merchandise, specialty foods, and collector’s items. Jewelry lovers can enjoy commemorative gold charms and bracelets by Chow Tai Fook and Pandora’s eye-catching party pieces.
Foodies can delight in exquisite 20th anniversary-themed gift boxes from famed sponsors Kee Wah Bakery and Godiva, perfect for sharing sweet moments. Photography fans will treasure limited-edition disposable film cameras from Fujifilm and commemorative photo products by Fujifilm’s QuickPrint store to capture magical memories.
To keep energy high, CHARGESPOT will offer exclusive 20th anniversary-themed chargers, while Rituals brings festive scents to homes with a special body care set. Disney fans won’t want to miss limited-edition commemorative coins and new “Magical Passport” collectibles created with Wong Wong Valley. Meanwhile, Starbucks joins in with 20th anniversary-themed tumblers and cold cups to enjoy drinks all day long during the party.
