Travel light with new luggage service

An innovative "Easy Travel" service is now available at Shenzhen North Station, allowing travelers to avoid the hassle of carrying all their bags when heading to the station to catch trains or when leaving the station.

The service, introduced by China's railway authority and currently being tested in 19 stations nationwide, provides passengers with same-city "door-to-station" and "station-to-door" luggage transfer.

The "door-to-station" service is available to departing passengers who are within 35 kilometers of the train station. Staff will collect checked luggage (compliant with regulations) from the passenger’s designated location and transport it to the departure station. After passing security checks, the luggage will be delivered to the passenger’s boarding platform or to a designated in-station luggage locker.

The "station-to-door” service is designed for arriving passengers. Staff will collect luggage from the passenger’s arrival platform or a designated in-station luggage locker, and deliver it to a specified location within 35 kilometers of the station.

Service fee:

68 yuan (US$9.49) per piece for services "from departure location to station" and "from station to destination";

98 yuan (US$13.7) per piece for services "from departure location to the boarding platform" and "from the boarding platform to destination."

How to make reservations:

Travelers can make reservations on the 12306 app and WeChat mini-program "铁路12306” (Railway 12306). 

Reservations for the “door-to-station” service must be made between 48 hours and 4 hours before departure. Luggage should be stored in a luggage locker at least 30 minutes before departure, or delivered to the platform 10 minutes before departure, based on the passenger’s request.

Reservations for the "station-to-door" service must be made between 24 hours and 1 hour before train arrival. The luggage collector will deliver the bags to the specified location within 5 hours of collection.Orders can be cancelled free of charge at any time before the staff collect the luggage.

Maximum luggage weight for the service:

10 kg for per child

20 kg for per adult

35 kg for per diplomatic personnel 

Tip: 

The length, width, and height of each piece of luggage should not exceed 130 centimeters for high-speed trains and 160 centimeters for other trains.
