Shenzhen Longhua Piano Museum

Located in the Cultural Activity Center of Bozhi Building, Shenzhen Longhua Piano Museum houses 2,985 antique pianos and related items across three floors, covering a total area of about 5,324 square meters. The collection includes 258 rare pianos from the personal collection of the museum’s director Xu Jingyan.

More than just a display of piano heritage, the museum serves as a multifunctional hub for education, academic research, and cultural exchange, offering visitors a deep dive into the evolution and artistry of pianos.


Highlights of the first floor

● Over 100 piano and music-themed paintings, including more than 40 portraits of renowned musicians. Beneath each portrait, visitors can scan QR codes to listen to iconic compositions by the great masters.

● Exhibition of 19th to early 20th century chamber organs

● Pianos once played by legendary musicians such as Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Schumann, and Brahms, or their exact period counterparts.

● Brighton Pavilion piano used by King George IV of England

● The Tchaikovsky family’s pianos

● Gothic-style pianos

● Pre-WWI artistic upright pianos, tracing their journey from aristocratic salons to middle-class homes

● Origin and development of piano in China
