BYD’s car carrier, the “BYD Shenzhen” — the world’s largest car-carrying ship — returned to Xiaomo International Logistics Port in Shenzhen yesterday after completing its maiden transoceanic voyage. The journey spanned 70 days and covered more than 30,000 kilometers. The ship departed from Taicang in East China’s Jiangsu Province, with 7,000 BYD electric vehicles on board, and arrived in Itajaí, Brazil, on May 28. Brazil is BYD’s largest overseas market and BYD has led all Chinese automakers in investment growth in Brazil over the past two years.
