I wandered around Qinghu in Longhua with my camera recently, hoping to discover some interesting subjects to photograph. I had a few locations in mind but wasn’t sure exactly what I’d find. In Shenzhen, a bit of exploring always brings surprises!
I started at Qinghu Metro Station and walked south toward Longhua Cultural Square. To my surprise, I came across an impressive statue in the center of the square — a group of horses galloping through an elaborate archway. I circled the square, searching for the best angle to capture this unique piece.
After photographing the square, I headed east toward the river and walked north along the bank. There, I saw many people strolling, fishing, and exercising. Eventually, I stumbled upon Guanlan River Wetland Park, an ecological area with boardwalks and viewing platforms for residents. The park also features fields of various wetland plant species.
I’m always impressed by Shenzhen’s ongoing efforts to create more walking paths, making it easier to explore and appreciate the city’s scenery.
