Dongmending Food Street

Chinese name: 东门町美食街 Dōngméndīng Měishíjiē

This touristy indoor market of Chinese street food is a magnet for visitors, offering everything from steamers of dim sum to spicy Sichuan noodles or grilled oysters with garlic.

If you’re brave you can follow you nose and try an order of stinky tofu. We even found Thai-style banana pancakes! The gluttony takes place in a clean, purpose-built arcade spread over two floors, with plenty of seating. The third and fourth floors are given over to larger restaurants.
