Shenzhen Joy City opens

The 250,000-square-meter complex Shenzhen Joy City welcomed more than 420,000 visitors and logged nearly 20 million yuan (US$2.79 million) in sales volume, excluding Apple products and cars, on its opening day. Joy City — China Oil and Foodstuffs Corp.’s flagship retail brand — merges youth culture with high style. Since its 2007 debut, it has rolled out seven malls across six Chinese cities, with Shenzhen the newest addition.
