Campaign for young professionals in standardization and conformity assessment held in SZ

The 2025 Asia Pacific Regional Young Professional Campaign and China-Japan-Korea YP Program, a regional event for young professionals in standardization and conformity assessment, was successfully held in Shenzhen from July 6 to 11, attracting the participation of young experts from 11 countries including China, Germany, Pakistan, Russia, and UAE.

Organized by the Quality and Standards Academy of Shenzhen Technology University and SAC/SWG 27 on Education about Standardization, the organizers of IEC YP (China) Programme, the event was guided and supported by the IEC Asia-Pacific Regional Center. This event marks the third consecutive regional young professionals campaign hosted by China, and the first time China holds the rotating presidency of the China-Japan-Korea YP activities under the framework of Northeast Asia Standards Cooperation Forum (NASCF).

This intensive initiative brought together young professionals for networking, knowledge exchange, and skill development, with a focus on equipping Asia-Pacific youth to expand their impact within IEC's global standardization landscape. Spanning six days, the program featured: ice-breaking sessions, world café workshop, cutting-edge technical seminars, expert-led lectures, group discussions, industrial site visits, team-building activities, alongside other social events.

IEC president, officials from the IEC Asia Pacific Regional Center and IEC Governance Review and Audit Committee, director of IEC Liaison Division, Department of Standards Innovative Management of State Administration for Market Regulation of the People’s Republic of China (SAMR), as well as chairpersons or responsible persons from IEC/ISO TCs in the area of personal e-transporters, creative digital design, brain-computer interfaces, medical equipment and others shared their expertise and experience with the young professionals during the campaign.
