Areas banning light diesel-powered vehicles

Starting July 29, newly designated “green neighborhoods” across Shenzhen's 10 districts and new area, as defined by the city’s traffic police authority, will prohibit light diesel-powered trucks. Exemptions apply to military vehicles, police cars, fire engines, ambulances and other emergency vehicles. 

The “green neighborhoods” are as follows:

1. Futian District

The Futian CBD area, bounded by Xinzhou Road to the west, Hongli Road to the north, Caitian Road to the east and Binhe Boulevard to the south; 

The Jingtian area encompassed by Xinzhou Road to the east, Xiangmei Road to the west, Hongli Road to the south and Beihuan Boulevard to the north;

The Meilin area bordered by Caitian Road to the east, Mei’ao 8th Road to the north, Kaifeng Road to the west, and Meilin Road to the south.

2. Luohu District

The Renmin South area, surrounded by Shennan Boulevard to the north, Dongmen Road South to the east, Chunfeng Road to the south and Jianshe Road to the west.

3. Nanshan District

The High-tech Park area, enclosed by Shennan Boulevard to the north, Shahe West Road to the east, Binhai Boulevard to the south and Nanhai Boulevard to the west; 

The University Town area, bordered by Lishui Road to the north and east, Lishan Road to the west and Xueyuan Boulevard to the south; 

The Shekou area, encompassed by Gongye 1st Road to the south, Gongye 2nd Road to the north, No. 1 Road to the west and Wanghai Road to the east.

4. Yantian District

The Yantian Central area, surrounded by Haishan, Haijing, Donghe, Haitao and Shenyan roads, as well as Xiangjing South Street and Xiangjiang East Street;

The Meisha area, enclosed by Yanmei and Huanmei roads.

5. Bao’an District

The Haixiu area, bordered by Yu’an 1st Road, Bao’an Boulevard, Xin’an Road West, Haixiu Road and Xingye Road.

6. Longgang District

The Longcheng area, encompassed by Longfu Road, Longcheng Boulevard, Longxiang Boulevard, Huangge Road, Qinglin Road and Jixiang Road.

7. Longhua District

The Shenzhen North area, surrounded by Liuxian Boulevard, Mintang Road, Bailong Road, Zhiyuan Road South, and Zhiyuan Road Central.

8. Pingshan District

The Sports Center area, bordered by Xinhe Road, Biyadi Road, Tiyu 3rd Road, No. 8 Road and Tiyu 2nd Road.

9. Guangming District 

The Guangming Square area, surrounded by Guangming Boulevard, Huaxia Road, Guangqiao Road, and Guanguang Road.

10. Dapeng New Area

The Kuichong Central area, enclosed by Jinling Road, Jinye Boulevard, Jinkui Road Central and Pinghui Road.

11. Cross-district area

The OCT East area, Yansan Road and Bisan Road.

Light diesel vehicles that have illegally entered these “green neighborhoods” will be penalized according to law.
