Urban Trail launched at SZ's city center

Centered around the concept of “leaping from the city into the wild,” Zhonghang Plaza Dreams-On department store has launched the “Urban Trail” — a fresh and invigorating sports destination in Shenzhen that blends movement and exploration, quickly becoming a trendy hotspot for the city’s youth.

The Urban Trail recreates a wilderness experience in the urban environment using raw, natural materials such as gravel and driftwood. It incorporates tribal totem motifs, transporting visitors into a city-based mountain wild tribe. Staircases transform into rugged trails lined with moss-covered climbing walls, thorny nets to crawl under, and wooden stumps to vault over, allowing participants to navigate an urban “jungle.” The challenging outdoor course offers a hardcore adventure in mud and nature, bringing people closer to the primal outdoors.

Among the multiple obstacle challenges designed for thrill-seekers are ancient stone wheels, mysterious ladders, wild express routes, sky-high nets, and rising rock formations — making every visit a new exploration.

Adding to the excitement, the Dreams-On department store will host two outdoor music festival concerts on Aug. 9 and 10. The lineup includes popular acts like Lara Liang Xinyi, contestants from “China’s New Rap,” Jia Ting, and bands such as Local, Sidosti (a two-dimensional themed band), and MOLOMOGO. Together, they will celebrate the graduation season with energetic performances under the summer sky.
