Hikers and outdoor enthusiasts in Shenzhen now have a groundbreaking way to conquer challenging trails with ease. The highly anticipated Sports Assist Robot π, a cutting-edge exoskeleton device designed to make mountain climbing effortless, has officially launched at the Science Park in Guangming District, Shenzhen Guangming WeChat account reported.
The Science Summit at the park is renowned for its breathtaking views, but the steep ascent has long been a challenge for visitors. Now, the Sports Assist Robot π—dubbed the "Mountain-Climbing Magic" device— promises to transform the hiking experience.
Using AI-powered motion sensing and ergonomic assistance, the lightweight exoskeleton detects leg movements and provides real-time support, reducing muscle strain. Users report a "weightless" sensation, as if being gently lifted at each step, making uphill climbs feel effortless.
Science Park has launched a free public trial program every Saturday and Sunday (9:00 AM–5:00 PM). Whether you're helping elderly parents fulfill their hiking dreams or challenging yourself to conquer the summit, this opportunity is open to all.
"This device turns exhausting hikes into enjoyable adventures," said a park representative. "We want everyone to experience the joy of climbing."
