Dongmen Pedestrian Street, Shenzhen’s earliest commercial hub, is a key part of Luohu District’s plan to develop a world-class landmark business district. Known as a "shopping paradise," it is one of the city’s largest and most diverse retail areas. Meanwhile, Macao’s Rua do Cunha, which dates back to the late 19th century, blends Portuguese and Chinese influences, serving as a historic marketplace and a culinary hotspot for tourists.

This collaboration follows last year’s groundbreaking par+tnership between the Dongmen Chamber of Commerce in Luohu District and Hong Kong’s Yau Ma Tei Temple Street Hawkers and Shop Operators Association, marking the first pairing of commercial zones between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.

In a further step to promote cultural exchange, Dongmen Pedestrian Street, Hong Kong’s Temple Street, and Macao’s Rua do Cunha will jointly host a Mid-Autumn Festival Food and Culture Carnival this September. The event, to be held simultaneously across the three locations, will feature gourmet delicacies, folk traditions, and artistic performances, establishing an internationally renowned "GBA Mid-Autumn Food Carnival" brand.
