Ahead of Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine’s Day, the world’s leading diamond company De Beers Group and Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group have joined forces to launch "The Gift of Sparkle" — a limited-time natural diamond exhibition series. The first stop of this touring showcase opened at MixC World in Shenzhen on Aug. 22.

Designed as a larger-than-life diamond gift box, the exhibition invites visitors to step into a radiant world of natural diamonds and discover how their brilliance celebrates the unique sparkle of every woman.

"The Gift of Sparkle" serves as both the theme of the exhibition and the accompanying product collection.

It draws a parallel between the multifaceted shine of natural diamonds and the authentic, diverse radiance of modern women. Embodying the Gen Z spirit—free from labels and limitations—the exhibition positions natural diamonds as intimate companions that carry personal emotions and mark milestones of self-growth. Each facet of a natural diamond reflects a natural, genuine, and pure light, mirroring how women honor themselves both in private moments of self-appreciation and in social contexts where personality shines through.

Beyond celebrating the timeless beauty of natural diamonds, "The Gift of Sparkle" also honors the multidimensional lives of women. Here, diamonds are not merely luxurious accessories—they become a medium for self-expression and vessels of genuine emotion. Centered on the idea of "love," the Shenzhen exhibition captures the many facets of women’s luminous identities.

The Shenzhen edition takes “A Promise is Worth a Thousand Ounces of Gold” (一诺千金) as its theme, using the romantic concept of a “heaven-sent gift box” (天作之盒) to weave together dazzling visual displays and emotional storytelling. The result is a diamond wonderland that feels both dreamlike and contemporary.

These natural diamonds, formed over billions of years, reflect light from every angle—symbolizing modern women’s passionate pursuit of true love. This pursuit is not about losing oneself, but rather about the powerful emergence of inner strength and brilliance. True love, the exhibition suggests, is the meeting of two independent souls, where both love and self remain radiant and whole.

Loletta Lai, Vice President of Natural Diamond Marketing for APAC at De Beers Group, commented: “We are dedicated to working with industry partners to communicate the enduring value of natural diamonds. We are thrilled to collaborate with Chow Tai Fook to present 'The Gift of Sparkle,' which highlights the profound connection between natural diamonds and today’s women—shaping a modern narrative of elegance and authenticity.”

Throughout the exhibition, elements of “Happiness (喜)” and “Lock (锁)”—inspired by Chow Tai Fook’s JOIE Collection—can be found everywhere. These elements represent both the joy of serendipitous moments and the romance of sealing promises, positioning natural diamonds as eternal witnesses of love.

Visitors can also experience the T·MARK Personalisation service, which offers diamond engraving to immortalize heartfelt messages and ensure that every promise remains everlasting.

After Shenzhen, "The Gift of Sparkle" exhibition will travel to other Chinese cities including Wuhan and Dalian, exploring more dimensions of women’s identities. De Beers Group and Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group will continue to promote natural diamonds and champion a new movement defined by authenticity and self-expression.

Established in 1888, De Beers Group is a global leader in diamond exploration, mining, marketing, and retail.
