Guangming District offers an exciting city-walk route that combines cutting-edge science, lush greenery, lively art, and rich cultural history — all within approximately 6 kilometers and 1.5 hours of walking. Starting from Guangming Station (光明站) on Metro Line 6, this carefully curated path reveals the district’s unique charm and innovation.

First stop: SZ Science and Technology Museum 光明科学技术馆

Exiting Guangming Station via Exit B, visitors quickly leave behind the city’s hustle and bustle to encounter the striking curvilinear architecture of the Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum. As a modern architectural landmark, the museum houses seven functional zones including technology exhibitions, a science education cinema, innovation labs, and a public service area. It serves as a vital hub for young learners and science enthusiasts eager to explore how technology shapes life and the future.

Second stop: Guangming Science Park 光明科学公园

Just a short walk from the museum, Guangming Science Park offers a refreshing natural retreat. Third stop: OCT Fun Farm 华侨城欢乐公社

Further along the route lies OCT Fun Farm, a lively open-air neighborhood gallery adorned with colorful murals perfect for memorable photos. The farm is also home to the flagship Guangming Guest House, where visitors can savor local culinary treasures known as the “Guangming Trio” — roast pigeon, colostrum, and sweet corn — adding a delicious flavor to the walk.

Final stop: Guangming Old Sugar Factory Cultural and Creative Park 旧糖厂文创园

Preserving key architectural elements of the original factory, the park now houses chic tea shops, creative coffee houses, restaurants, and photography studios. It is a popular destination for leisure, tourism, and art lovers, blending heritage with creativity.
