Water show
As dusk falls at OCT Harbor and the heat fades, it’s the perfect time for a nighttime walk. A new production of the “Legend of the Coast” show debuts, blending large-scale 3D holographic projection, multicolor LED, lasers, musical fountains, and live performances.
Horse performances and other circus highlights take the stage, with laser water curtains combining acrobatics and equestrian acts to create a magical spectacle. Performers from Russia, Uzbekistan, Colombia, and beyond bring superb skills and passionate energy to this exotic, artistic production.
Locale: Water Show Plaza, OCT Harbor
Dates: Through Aug. 31
Showtime: 7:15 p.m.–8 p.m., 8:30 p.m.–9:10 p.m.
Tickets: 68 yuan per person
Dream Aquarium
Visitors enjoy the Dream Aquarium.
The Dream Aquarium, a favorite for young visitors, has also been upgraded. At the new Explore Shenzhen Bay section, encounter marine species like the blackhead fish, the adorably odd mudskipper, vibrant clownfish, sea turtles, and more.
New tanks showcase native seascapes: The Dapeng Bay area features corals swaying in the current; Tidal Treasures recreates an intertidal ecosystem with crabs and small fish hiding in the sand; and the Undersea Nursery highlights the growth of new marine life. Visitors will feel as though they’re walking on the ocean floor.
Adding to the dreamy atmosphere is “Sea: Cradle of Life,” a fluorescent mural by local artists — perfect for photos.
Locale: 2/F, O’Plaza, OCT Harbor
Tickets:
(Full-day) 45 yuan for children, 80 yuan for adults;
(Night session) 30 yuan for children, 55 yuan for adults
