A community program inviting public participation in a series of activities will be held across Shekou this coming weekend, aiming to embed sustainability into everyday community life. The program is part of the 2025 Sustainable Cultural Festival organized by the Sea World Culture and Arts Center (SWCAC) in partnership with communities across Shekou. It seeks to explore how sustainable ideas can take specific, visible shape in the neighborhood and to generate a practice cycle that moves from creation to regeneration.

Shekou Alleycat Races
Starting and finishing at the Floatie X SOGOOD store at SWCAC, the multi-site course will lead participants to four locations: Sea World Gateway One Mall, Nanhai Ecool Space, Taizi Bay Villa Tidal Square, and the outer square of the Shekou Cruise Homeport.
Riders can choose their own routes between designated stations, where they complete photo tasks and collect stamps before racing back to the finish. The competition emphasizes strategy, navigation and community adventure rather than following a fixed course.
The overall top three across the four stages will receive a Grand Slam trophy and curated gifts.
