Fuwa Cafe, a global soufflé chain, has launched a new frozen soufflé cake series at its two Shenzhen branches at Shenzhen MixC World and One Avenue. The new items are available exclusively for takeout on Meituan.
Unlike traditional airy soufflés, the frozen soufflé cakes have a more stable, cake-like texture. While they retain a melt-in-the-mouth quality, they are better suited to takeout delivery and cold-chain storage. Positioned for afternoon tea and party snacks, the products target consumers seeking a light, social dessert in individual portions.

The range comes in four flavors — passion fruit, rose lychee, guava and caramel milk cap — and is offered in two formats: a single clear package and a four-piece gift box. They can be enjoyed individually or shared, catering to takeout consumers' desire to try new items, photograph them and share with friends.
The brand also introduced three takeout drinks — citrus lemonade, lychee lemon tea and wampee iced tea — providing more pairing options.
Since its founding in Toronto in 2018, Fuwa Cafe has impressed consumers with its dessert philosophy of soft, light and comforting textures. The launch of the frozen soufflé line marks a key step in the brand’s product strategy upgrade.

According to Benson Lau, Fuwa Cafe’s business development director, the brand has established an R&D center in Hong Kong. “As an international platform, Hong Kong serves as a bridge to the world. Shenzhen, at the forefront of innovation and close to the market, enables rapid product development and testing. Combining Hong Kong’s international reach with Shenzhen’s speed lets us create flavors for global consumers. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is therefore crucial to our global expansion,” he said.
Lau added that the brand will continue expanding across the GBA, beginning with Shenzhen, and plans to replicate the frozen soufflé takeout model in more core cities. At the same time, Fuwa Cafe will continue to develop its all-day brunch strategy, aiming to become not just synonymous with dessert but part of urban residents' everyday lifestyle.
