OCT Harbor launches new and updated tourism projects
From: Original
To mark its 14th anniversary, OCT Harbor in Nanshan District has launched a series of new and upgraded entertainment projects to attract more visitors and tourists.
The Dream Aquarium, on the second floor of O’Plaza, has been upgraded to version 2.0. The revamped aquarium features a Shenzhen Bay Exploration zone that showcases local marine ecology and promotes marine education. It also includes a 12-meter tidal ecological tank that reproduces the ebb and flow of Shenzhen Bay in real time.

Combined with a 3D-printed “underwater future city,” the aquarium serves as a hands-on ecological classroom for children. Visitors can observe marine species up close — jellyfish, sea turtles, corals, seahorses and various fish — and enjoy sea lion performances.

Ticketing: All-day tickets are 80 yuan (US$11.2) for adults and 45 yuan for children; evening tickets are 55 yuan for adults and 30 yuan for children. Sea lion shows require a separate ticket priced at 40 yuan; children under 1.2 meters can enter for free.
At OCT Harbor’s Water Show Plaza, the new production “Coast Legend” — an international water show and circus — is in full swing. The show blends large-scale 3D holographic projection, multicolor LED lighting, lasers, musical fountains and live acts. Horse performances and other circus highlights take center stage, with laser water curtains combining acrobatics and equestrian acts to create a spectacular experience. Performers from Russia, Uzbekistan, Colombia and elsewhere bring high-level skills and energetic artistry to the production. The show runs daily from 7:15 to 7:50 p.m. and from 8:30 to 9:10 p.m. through Sept. 30. Tickets are 59 yuan for both adults and children.

During the Qixi Festival period, the X-Meta VR gaming zone introduced several new scenarios. Using 720-degree panoramic visuals and more than 30 motion-sensing special effects, the experiences — such as flying with a sword or exploring a bustling Tang Dynasty market — have become particularly popular with young visitors.
Official data show that average daily foot traffic at OCT Harbor reached 80,000 in August, with nighttime spending accounting for more than 65% of total consumption.
